“ Right after Chris and I became engaged we began thinking about our wedding day and what exactly was most important to us. Amazing music was our priority! We threw around several ideas for our ceremony and cocktail hour tunes and nothing felt exactly right. We kept coming back to our favorite artist we both loved listening to from the very beginning of our dating relationship: The Theorist. We actually dreamed out loud saying, "wouldn't it be so cool if The Theorist actually performed at our wedding?!" It seemed absolutely far fetched and impossible until Chris simply reached out to Henderson and asked with zero expectation of him being available or even saying yes! To our utter delight he accepted! He helped us put together our favorite songs for our ceremony which he blended seamlessly from wedding party and bride processionals to recessional. It was PERFECT. Because we trusted him completely we told him to play whatever he wanted during cocktail hour! Guests were stunned and it took them a minute to realize that they knew every song! All the while discovering just how incredible Henderson was at translating hip hop so beautifully on the piano. It was pretty awesome to observe! Our favorite moment during cocktail hour happened when Chris and I were off taking photos on a rock not too far from our ceremony site. We could clearly hear The Theorist playing, his melody soaring beautifully through the canyon! We danced and stole kisses in our own little moment enjoying his one-of-a-kind talent.

I truly can't say enough about his professionalism, his artistry, his kindness and his overall harmonious magic he brought to our wedding. His music has and always will hold a special place in our hearts. We feel honored to have had him perform on the biggest day of our lives and feel so very grateful to now know him personally. We are still pinching ourselves! Thank you, Henderson!"

“ A lifelong fan of hip hop and R&B love songs, I always dreamed that I'd have romantic piano covers as the soundtrack to my wedding day. I stumbled upon Henderson's YouTube page and after obsessively playing every single one of his songs, I knew I would do anything to have him perform at my wedding. It was no surprise that all of our guests raved about the music.

Even at the rehearsal, Henderson's performance brought my family to tears when we practiced walking down the aisle! He is a true gem and incredible talent, and he made our big day so very special."

“ On October 26, 2013, I was excited for two things: (1) to marry my best friend and boyfriend of 7 years and (2) to hear Henderson perform live at our ceremony and absolutely blow our guests away. In the months leading up to our wedding, we listened to every song of Henderson's that we could find. His music is so incredibly beautiful and brings songs you’ve heard over and over again to life in new and interesting ways (in many cases, we prefer his arrangements to the originals). We chose a selection of his music for the actual ceremony and requested that he learn/arrange “Kissing You” by Des’ree for the moment I walked down the aisle with my father.

The ceremony took place at a two-story art museum. Henderson played a selection of his hits for the guests as they took their seats. Our bridal party was upstairs signing our marriage license and Ketubah when he played his first few notes. At that moment, Brian and I looked into each other’s eyes and started balling. Henderson’s music was the soundtrack to our year of wedding planning and it was finally coming to life. The photographer captured Brian’s reaction to this moment beautifully.

When it was time for my entrance with my father, the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful. Our entire wedding party was standing at attention in front of a gorgeous flowered stage/chuppah area with all eyes looking for us. After just the right amount of silence, Henderson started playing the opening notes of “Kissing You”. My father led me down a winding marble staircase and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Well, except for maybe mine. In that moment, I think I had the biggest smile of my life. Henderson played so beautifully and captured the song so perfectly. It was powerful, intense, moving and special. We will never, ever forget it for the rest of our lives."
